Senior Full-stack Engineer – Payroll Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain full-stack functionalities encompassing the frontend, backend, database, and system architecture.

• Take responsibility for feature delivery from conception through to production, making critical technical and architectural choices.

• Engage directly with clients, stakeholders, and remote team members to collect requirements and provide solutions.

• Design and execute integrations with payroll, billing, HR, and third-party enterprise systems.

• Tackle intricate technical challenges by balancing scalability, performance, and business priorities.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, automation, and overall engineering efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive full-stack development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, modern frontend frameworks (Svelte, React, Vue, or Angular), and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.

• Demonstrated experience in designing APIs, integrations, authentication, webhooks, and connections to enterprise systems.

• Strong SQL skills, including schema design, database optimization, migrations, and performance tuning.

• Proven track record of owning features from requirements to production, encompassing architecture and technical decision-making.

• Experience in writing automated tests, debugging, and supporting production applications in startup or small-team settings.

• Professional fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills for collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

• Must be located in Latin America, as specified by the LatAm location and application question.
