Senior Full Stack Engineer, NodeJS, React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of features from inception to completion across API, web, and mobile platforms: including design, scoping, prototyping, building, testing, deploying, and refactoring.

• Convert unclear product requirements into a technical scope, encompassing data models, API agreements, and implementation trade-offs.

• Influence architectural decisions for both new and existing services to accommodate growing scale.

• Support architectural choices with documented performance metrics, capacity analysis, and evidence of failure modes.

• Facilitate the refinement of features and user stories.

• Investigate and assess the implications of new capabilities prior to development.

• Collaborate with the product team to clarify priorities, resolve uncertainties, and create actionable tasks.

• Enhance engineering standards through code reviews and shared best practices.

• Utilize Claude Code for AI-assisted scoping, code reviews, implementation, and acclimatization to unfamiliar systems.

• Develop and maintain cloud-connected IoT fleet functionalities, real-time operational interfaces, and data-driven optimizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in commercial full-stack software development.

• More than 3 years of experience in production with React Native.

• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining cross-platform iOS and Android applications through app-store releases.

• Exceptional engineering judgment and a solution-focused mindset.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Strong skills in Node.js and Express.

• Production experience with React and Next.js.

• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases in a production environment.

• Familiarity with real-time systems, including WebSockets and event-driven architectures.

• Practical experience with AWS services such as ECS or EKS, Lambda, Cognito, SQS, and CloudWatch.

• Ability to tackle ambiguous problems and convey technical decisions clearly in written form.

• Nice-to-have: experience with embedded/IoT systems, including MQTT and device fleets.

• Nice-to-have: knowledge of serverless and microservices architecture.

• Nice-to-have: experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Nice-to-have: background in data-intensive tasks, optimization/algorithmic challenges, big-data solutions, and data warehousing.
