This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications utilizing Spring Boot (MVC and WebFlux), React, and the Microsoft/Java technology stack where applicable.
• Convert business needs into functional, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Construct and maintain REST APIs, integrate messaging queues, and implement asynchronous/event-driven architectures.
• Oversee database schema design and migrations for MySQL/PostgreSQL; enhance queries and performance.
• Engage in infrastructure-as-code initiatives and deploy across multiple AWS environments.
• Secure APIs using OAuth2/Spring Security, JWT, and policy-based authorization methods.
• Maintain, upgrade, and refactor existing codebases for improved performance.
• Write and uphold unit and integration tests; assist in CI/CD and observability practices.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and distributed engineering teams; take part in Agile sprints and code reviews.
• Ensure code adheres to best practices, design patterns, and security protocols.
• Mentor colleagues, investigate and resolve production issues, and support ongoing improvement efforts.
• Work alongside Business Analysts and US-based stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
• Suggest technical strategies and detailed implementation plans.
• Execute daily tasks, troubleshoot issues, and assist team members as needed.
• Conduct unit and cross testing and document findings.
• Perform technical research and provide internal training sessions.
• At least 6 years of practical experience with Java and Spring Boot (MVC and/or WebFlux/Reactor).
• Strong proficiency in React, REST APIs, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI using Bootstrap.
• Solid background with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including schema design, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or similar, and event-driven architectures.
• Practical experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, and SSM.
• Knowledge of OAuth2/Spring Security, JWT, and policy-based authorization frameworks.
• Testing proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.
• Strong grasp of performance, security, best practices, and design patterns.
• Experience with Web Services.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with WCF or .NET is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Desirable skills include knowledge of fintech/payments domains, Terraform or equivalent IaC, reactive programming, observability, distributed applications, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and strong communication abilities.
