Senior Full Stack Engineer – Industrial Sustainability Reporting Platform, React, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, architecture, and execution of scalable APIs, services, and user interfaces with a focus on accessibility.

• Develop AI-native functionalities for carbon accounting, ESG data gathering, and sustainability planning.

• Transform the platform into modular, event-driven, API-first components.

• Make engineering trade-offs related to scalability, maintainability, performance, and overall product impact.

• Ensure reliability and operational excellence, including telemetry, SLOs, error budgets, on-call rotations, incident response, and continuous service improvement.

• Advocate for DevOps practices such as CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, and application-level operations.

• Collaborate with Platform Engineers in a lean DevOps shared service model.

• Mentor engineers and encourage best engineering practices.

• Promote code quality, documentation, automated testing, performance, security, and maintainability.

• Take ownership of the quality and production readiness of deliverables.

• Partner with Product Management, Design, AI, Platform Engineering, and engineering teams for discovery, trade-offs, and delivery.

• Address customer challenges with elegant and scalable engineering solutions.

• Recognize technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities to enhance platform architecture and engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in full stack software engineering, covering both front-end and back-end development.

• Proficiency in modern front-end technologies, particularly React or similar frameworks.

• Strong back-end engineering expertise, ideally including GoLang or other comparable general-purpose programming languages.

• Experience in designing and creating scalable APIs, services, and cloud-native applications.

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, automation, and incident response.

• Proven track record of delivering secure, observable, high-quality production software.

• Emphasis on code quality, automated testing, documentation, performance, and maintainability.

• Capability to lead technical design discussions and influence architectural choices.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills across Product, Design, Platform, and Engineering teams.

• Ownership mentality with accountability from design to production.

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP is advantageous.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, or microservices is a plus.

• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL is preferred.

• Experience working in cross-functional product teams is desirable.

• Background in mentoring engineers or contributing to engineering standards is beneficial.

• Experience with AI-enabled, data-intensive, sustainability, carbon intelligence, ESG reporting, or enterprise SaaS products is a plus.

• Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and standards like GHG Protocol, CSRD, or SBTi is advantageous.

• Understanding of observability, reliability engineering, SLOs, error budgets, and production incident management is desirable.
