Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Backend Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume full responsibility for comprehensive development across our platform, focusing on creating high-quality, user-centered experiences.

• Engage in system design and architecture, influencing APIs, data models, and service boundaries.

• Develop and maintain backend services, PostgreSQL databases, and infrastructure.

• Collaborate on the web layer by constructing and integrating frontend features, while enhancing performance and testing coverage across our applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid EU work permit and professional proficiency in both verbal and written English.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proactive and self-motivated, capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a small team.

• Comfortable assuming project ownership from conception to implementation.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to clarify complex concepts, effectively present decisions, and produce clean, maintainable code.

• Extensive professional experience in modern full-stack development (7+ years) — Required.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, with substantial experience in relational databases, cloud engineering, and authentication systems.

• Familiarity with contemporary development practices, including unit, integration, E2E, and load testing.

• Proficient in TypeScript with knowledge of browser rendering pipelines.

• Familiarity with our existing tech stack; React, Next.js/Tanstack Start, PostgreSQL, Prisma, tRPC, Google Cloud Platform, Auth0 by Okta, Playwright, Tailwind CSS.

• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is desirable, but not mandatory.
