Senior Fulfillment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the design of architecture, engage in hands-on development, conduct testing, oversee deployment, and provide production support for ecommerce fulfillment systems, which encompass order management and warehouse management.

• Utilize AI toolsets to enhance engineering delivery speed, quality, and reliability. Collaborate with other developers and teams to share and expand AI capabilities, setting a higher standard for AI application across the organization.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to implement scalable, user-centric features that increase business value.

• Advocate for contemporary engineering practices such as clean architecture, unit testing, automation, performance optimization, and observability.

• Decompose large-scale projects into manageable delivery segments, effectively communicating status updates, obstacles, and dependencies among teams.

• Shape architectural direction and recommend enhancements to improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Create high-quality documentation, including Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), diagrams, technical instructions, and onboarding resources.

• Enhance reliability monitoring, alerting, and incident response for critical systems.

• Spot opportunities to simplify legacy components, minimize technical debt, and achieve long-term efficiency improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on ecommerce.

• Practical experience in utilizing AI toolsets to boost productivity and expedite development processes.

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with order management and warehouse management systems.

• Extensive knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, and design patterns, including pub/sub and event-driven architecture.

• Proficiency in at least one core backend programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.

• Strong grasp of relational databases and SQL.

• Practical skills with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with AWS or GCP and cloud-first architectural frameworks.

• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
