This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +16 more states.
β’ Lead the design of architecture, engage in hands-on development, conduct testing, oversee deployment, and provide production support for ecommerce fulfillment systems, which encompass order management and warehouse management.
β’ Utilize AI toolsets to enhance engineering delivery speed, quality, and reliability. Collaborate with other developers and teams to share and expand AI capabilities, setting a higher standard for AI application across the organization.
β’ Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to implement scalable, user-centric features that increase business value.
β’ Advocate for contemporary engineering practices such as clean architecture, unit testing, automation, performance optimization, and observability.
β’ Decompose large-scale projects into manageable delivery segments, effectively communicating status updates, obstacles, and dependencies among teams.
β’ Shape architectural direction and recommend enhancements to improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
β’ Create high-quality documentation, including Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), diagrams, technical instructions, and onboarding resources.
β’ Enhance reliability monitoring, alerting, and incident response for critical systems.
β’ Spot opportunities to simplify legacy components, minimize technical debt, and achieve long-term efficiency improvements.
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
β’ Over 10 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on ecommerce.
β’ Practical experience in utilizing AI toolsets to boost productivity and expedite development processes.
β’ Proficient in Java and Spring Boot.
β’ Familiarity with order management and warehouse management systems.
β’ Extensive knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, and design patterns, including pub/sub and event-driven architecture.
β’ Proficiency in at least one core backend programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
β’ Strong grasp of relational databases and SQL.
β’ Practical skills with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
β’ Experience with AWS or GCP and cloud-first architectural frameworks.
β’ Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
