Senior Frontend Software Engineer, Consumer Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers across platforms such as iOS, Android, and Web.

• Convert business and user requirements into robust, low-latency technical solutions.

• Manage the complete software lifecycle for significant product initiatives, from drafting technical design documents and API contracts to development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• Design, construct, and assess A/B experiments.

• Examine user behavior, conversion funnels, and retention loops using BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase.

• Develop and sustain scalable GraphQL, REST, and gRPC APIs.

• Create distributed backend services optimized for client consumption and user interface performance.

• Implement engineering best practices and enhance developer workflows.

• Guide team members and leverage modern AI-integrated tools to efficiently deliver high-quality products.

• Provide support to consumer teams, including Core Product & Feeds, Community & Presence, Growth & Engagement, Monetization & Conversion, and Identity & Security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical backend development experience in building and managing large-scale distributed serving systems in high-concurrency settings.

• More than 6 years of software development experience in one or more front-end focused programming languages, including Javascript, Typescript, and ES6.

• Familiarity with front-end web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular.

• Proficient in CSS.

• Knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and basic Thrift.

• Capability to design and create maintainable APIs.

• Experience or interest in utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools.

• User-centric understanding of product usability, interaction design, social dynamics, and user growth loops.

• Experience in designing experiments, setting performance metrics, and iterating based on feedback.

• Exceptional communication skills and experience in cross-functional alignment.
