Senior Frontend Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a frontend platform architecture that accommodates multiple independently deployed modules (micro frontends) within a unified application.

• Lead the development of shared frameworks, tools, and infrastructure utilized by various teams.

• Establish and maintain best practices focused on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Architect solutions for shared components, state management, design systems, and dependency management.

• Assess and enact micro frontend strategies (e.g., module federation, single-spa, build-time integration).

• Develop patterns that promote collaboration across teams while reducing tight coupling between systems.

• Take ownership of decisions regarding routing, communication, and integration among micro frontends.

• Construct and enhance frontend build systems, deployment pipelines, and dependency graphs.

• Ensure that platform-level concerns such as authentication, observability, error handling, and resilience are effectively addressed.

• Mentor engineers and assist teams in adopting platform standards and architectural best practices.

• Apply secure coding best practices and engage in ongoing security training and awareness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a senior or lead frontend engineer with an emphasis on architecture and platform development.

• Profound understanding of contemporary frontend ecosystems (React, build tools, bundlers, code-splitting, SSR/CSR).

• Demonstrated ability to design and scale intricate frontend systems across multiple teams and codebases.

• Practical experience with micro frontend architectures and associated technologies.

• Strong expertise in module federation (Webpack, Vite) and strategies for dependency sharing.

• Experience in designing shared component libraries and platform-level abstractions.
