Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and deliver robust, efficient, and user-centric frontend solutions for the Provet Patient Care Experience.

• Implement features using Vue 3/Nuxt for the frontend as well as legacy UI components.

• Construct backend functionalities, which include Django views, JSON:API endpoints, queries, business logic, and testing processes.

• Take ownership of projects from initial concept to final delivery as the Directly Responsible Individual.

• Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and experts in the veterinary field.

• Assess the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and enhance speed and responsiveness for pages that handle substantial data.

• Utilize AI coding agents on a daily basis to refine team workflows, tools, and procedural guidelines.

• Produce maintainable code, perform code reviews, and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

• Diagnose complex issues related to browser performance and database queries.

• Keep abreast of the latest frontend and AI tools, advocating for their beneficial integration.

• Participate in the enhancement of development processes, tools, and infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development.

• Proficient in Vue 3 and the Composition API, with TypeScript expertise.

• Familiarity with large-scale JavaScript codebases.

• Experience with Python and Django, or a strong willingness to develop backend functionalities.

• Extensive daily experience managing AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex.

• Solid understanding of HTML and CSS principles.

• Experience in creating accessible user interfaces.

• Background in developing data-intensive, interactive UIs with a focus on performance.

• Familiarity with automated frontend testing, including unit, component, and end-to-end testing.

• Full proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

• Experience in a rapidly expanding global SaaS company is preferred.

• Experience in the incremental migration of legacy frontends is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Nuxt, React, or jQuery-era code is a plus.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes is beneficial.
