Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and scale customer-centric applications across the Commerce7 platform, encompassing point of sale, e-commerce, reservation, and CRM tools.

• Work in collaboration with backend engineers to comprehend and integrate with system APIs.

• Collaborate with QA to guarantee that features are ready for production.

• Enhance, refactor, and maintain current UX/UI to improve usability and responsiveness.

• Ensure frontend code adheres to contemporary coding practices, industry standards, and internal guidelines.

• Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality, maintainability, performance, and scalability.

• Contribute to the technical documentation related to frontend workflows, component libraries, and UX patterns.

• Advocate for customer-oriented UX/UI, consistency, and quality throughout the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing large-scale frontend applications with a strong grasp of frontend architectures and state management.

• Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and deliver frontend features on time.

• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+) and React, with familiarity using build tools like Webpack, Babel, NPM, or similar.

• Strong expertise in HTML and CSS.

• Preferably experienced with styled components or component-based styling.

• Experience with REST API integration.

• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.

• Experience with testing frameworks, including automated integration and unit testing.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Understanding of basic UX principles for web applications.

• Experience with e-commerce or point of sale platforms is a plus.
