Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development and deployment of high-performance, modular, and visually unique interfaces across our multi-tenant platforms.

• Collaborate within cross-functional teams comprising engineers, product managers, and designers, taking ownership of the frontend layer that powers various white-labeled experiences for partner brands.

• Redesign an existing customer-facing product UI and introduce a new branded experience for an upcoming partner, both operating on shared multi-tenant foundations.

• Design and manage the templating and theming system that allows for the rapid creation of differentiated UIs per tenant without duplicating codebases.

• Architect and uphold micro frontend boundaries across our platforms, enabling teams to deploy independently while ensuring consistent user journeys.

• Meet and uphold stringent Core Web Vitals targets (LCP, INP, CLS), implementing performance budgets and delivering measurable optimizations.

• Develop, maintain, and refactor modular Next.js and React interfaces, prioritizing reusability and tenant configurability.

• Integrate AI coding tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) into your daily workflow to enhance scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, and overall shipping speed.

• Partner with product and backend engineers to establish API contracts, feature behaviors, and tenant-specific configurations.

• Champion clean, testable, and maintainable code through peer reviews, documentation, and a robust shared design system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of frontend engineering experience in building production-quality, consumer-facing web applications.

• In-depth knowledge of Next.js, React, and modern TypeScript, with strong views on rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR, React Server Components) and their appropriate applications.

• Practical experience in designing or maintaining multi-tenant frontends, including theming, templating, white-labeling, or partner-configurable UI.

• Proven history of working with micro frontend architectures (module federation, monorepos, independent deployables) and a solid understanding of the associated trade-offs.

• Clear experience in achieving tight Core Web Vitals targets in real production settings: profiling LCP, optimizing critical rendering paths, and implementing image and font strategies, code splitting, edge caching, and server components.

• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) and a defined perspective on how to leverage them for faster shipping without sacrificing quality.

• Familiarity with modern build tools (Bun, Vite, Webpack, Turbopack) and testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Vitest).

• Basic understanding of DevOps practices and containerization in cloud environments.

• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.

• Experience in fintech, DeFi, real-time gaming, and entertainment platforms, or other high-traffic consumer products is highly advantageous.
