Senior Frontend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions that fulfill essential business needs using the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform.

• Align business requirements with the product features of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Create scalable solutions that are compatible with the enterprise architecture.

• Detect performance bottlenecks by monitoring the application and provide technical remedies.

• Participate as a core member of the development team and review delivered code to ensure compliance with best practices.

• Empower business units by providing a swiftly deliverable solution architecture.

• Recognize the team's capabilities and engage where necessary to foster leading practices and learning.

• Accountable for the quality of project deliverables against requirements and promoted leading practices.

• Conduct fit/gap analysis between requirements and out-of-the-box features, detailing any necessary customizations. Collaborate with customers on the technical implementation and customization of SFCC.

• Offer product technical advice and insights to internal customers and prospective clients.

• Collaborate with project teams to clarify requirements, initiate solutions, and develop deliverable software within Scrum iterations.

• Build internal confidence and ensure team success through strong technical skills and knowledge, hands-on implementation abilities, a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to delivering quality.

• Develop a reusable framework to expedite the launch of new brands on the same platform.

• Stay current with new technologies (internal capabilities and vendor offerings) by assessing industry and design trends and demonstrating a passion for learning.

• Coordinate with external vendors and brands to guarantee timely and scope-compliant delivery of their work.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience in developing enterprise software products.

• 3-6 years of experience in the installation, design, and implementation of Salesforce Commerce Cloud and SFRA.

• 3-6 years of eCommerce/Omnichannel experience.

• Familiarity with onshore/offshore specification/documentation styles, agile and hybrid implementation methodologies with various organizational structures.

• Extensive hands-on experience in SFCC development and enhancement, including customization using PWA.

• Experience with REST APIs (preferably Stateless) and exposing data repositories via APIs on SFCC.

• Understanding and practical experience in writing modular CSS using SMACSS and Object-Oriented CSS methodologies.

• Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Semantic-UI, and Foundation.

• Practical experience with the ReactJS framework.

• Hands-on experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS, STYLUS).

• Familiarity with the jQuery framework.

• Experience and understanding of writing JavaScript unit tests (Jasmine + Karma).

• Experience with headless/abstract architectures regarding back-end and front-end communication.

• Proficient in “web-speed” development (weekly releases) and comfortable delivering under tight deadlines and short release cycles.

• Knowledge of open-source technologies such as Linux, Apache, Java, Python, Go, etc.

• Excellent understanding of both front-end (JS, HTML5, CSS) and back-end (JavaScript, PHP, etc.) technologies.

• Working experience with full-stack web technologies or frameworks like Node.js and Meteor, along with good knowledge of hybrid/native mobile development technologies.

• Familiarity with agile development methodology and continuous integration.

• Experience with log monitoring/performance monitoring tools.
