Senior Front-End Engineer, React – Real-Time Data Visualization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain intricate, reliable UI logic utilizing XState or comparable state management frameworks.

• Create high-performance, interactive geospatial interfaces leveraging MapLibre, Mapbox, or similar libraries.

• Execute and oversee real-time data flows using WebSockets and Socket.IO.

• Enhance rendering performance to guarantee smooth user experiences (60fps) even under substantial data loads.

• Develop scalable, modular, and testable front-end applications with React and TypeScript.

• Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to convert product requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Maintain clean code practices, thorough documentation, and codebase maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.

• Experience in constructing complex, state-heavy frontend applications.

• Practical experience with real-time data flows (WebSockets or event-driven architectures).

• Familiarity with geospatial visualization libraries (MapLibre, Mapbox, Leaflet, or similar).

• Proven capability to enhance performance for data-intensive interfaces.

• Strong coding practices, emphasizing maintainable, modular, and testable code.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and design teams.

• Experience with XState or finite state machine architectures.

• Background working with vector tiles, custom layers, or advanced geospatial rendering.

• Familiarity with Socket.IO for real-time communication.

• Experience in news, sports, live media, or streaming platforms.

• Knowledge of D3.js, Canvas, or WebGL.

• Understanding of scalability challenges within large media platforms.

• Experience on high-traffic, globally distributed applications.

• Exposure to performance optimization for live, data-heavy user interfaces.

• Familiarity with creative or design-driven development environments.
