Senior Front-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive and accessible front-end applications using Angular, with React experience being a notable advantage.

• Create and sustain reusable, thoroughly tested UI components and design-system elements by employing modern Angular patterns, including Signals.

• Develop interactive editing experiences for the Yearbook design platform using canvas (e.g., drag-and-drop layout, image manipulation); familiarity with FabricJS is highly valued.

• Apply styling and responsive layouts utilizing Tailwind CSS and contemporary CSS practices.

• Work collaboratively with backend engineers to integrate UI components with RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Implement client-side state management and data-flow patterns (such as RxJS, NgRx, or Angular Signals) for intricate, interactive UIs.

• Build and maintain automated front-end tests (unit, component, and end-to-end) to ensure UI quality and prevent regressions.

• Implement accessible (WCAG-compliant) UI patterns, partnering with QA and product teams for accessibility validation.

• Optimize front-end performance for rendering-intensive, canvas-based interfaces.

• Engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior front-end engineers.

• Diagnose production UI issues and carry out necessary fixes.

• Continuously enhance front-end development processes, tools, and infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• A minimum of 6 years of professional front-end software development experience.

• Familiarity with backend or full-stack development technologies, including Java.

• Strong, hands-on expertise in Angular (current versions), including Angular Signals.

• Thorough understanding of TypeScript, RxJS, and modern component-based architecture.

• Experience with State Management Approaches such as NgRx, RxJS, or Signals-based state.

• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services.

• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine/Karma, Jest, Cypress, or Playwright).

• Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and creating accessible, ARIA-compliant UIs.

• Experience in optimizing front-end performance, particularly for rendering-heavy or canvas-based interfaces.

• Familiarity with component-driven development tools (e.g., Storybook).

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Familiarity with React.

• Experience with Tailwind CSS and modern component/utility-first styling methodologies.

• Preferred: Significant advantage if experienced with FabricJS or similar canvas/WebGL libraries (e.g., Konva.js) for developing interactive, canvas-based editing experiences.
