This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Serve as a strategic finance partner to business leaders by converting intricate financial inquiries into clear insights, decision-ready models, and actionable recommendations.
• Spearhead the annual budgeting process, overseeing the comprehensive planning, alignment, and consolidation of financial budgets throughout the organization.
• Develop and manage ad hoc financial models to assist in critical business decisions such as headcount planning, business cases, pricing, and cost optimization.
• Take ownership of and continually refine rolling forecasts, integrating actual results and evolving assumptions to maintain a dependable, forward-looking financial perspective.
• Generate monthly management reports, including variance analysis and leadership commentary, utilizing AI tools to expedite initial drafts while ensuring a high level of accuracy and quality.
• Propel the ongoing improvement of FP&A processes, dashboards, and tools with a strong emphasis on automation and minimizing manual spreadsheet tasks.
• Design and expand a contemporary, high-impact FP&A function in close collaboration with financial stakeholders.
• Proficient in advanced financial modeling, with strong Excel skills; familiarity with FP&A tools such as Abacum (or comparable) is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated responsibility for end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes across various functions, with complete accountability for results.
• Effective communicator capable of simplifying financial complexities into organized insights for non-financial stakeholders, including senior leadership; comfortable in asynchronous, remote-first settings.
• Strong business insight with a genuine interest in product, users, and unit economics—able to go beyond mere reporting to question assumptions and influence decisions.
• Highly skilled and discerning AI user, actively incorporating AI into daily tasks (modeling, analysis, communication), while recognizing its limitations and thoroughly validating outputs.
• Comfortable navigating uncertainty, making informed decisions with incomplete data, and clearly communicating assumptions and uncertainties.
• Hands-on, high-ownership approach with experience in fast-growing environments.
• Familiarity with SQL or basic data querying is a notable plus.
