Senior Forensic Engineer – Mechanical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead projects and act as the main point of contact.

• Coordinate site visits, resources, and timelines to ensure projects remain on schedule.

• Conduct site visits and testing to collect data across various property types.

• Perform site evaluations and laboratory analyses to gather data on residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

• Generate reports that integrate inspection, testing, and analysis data to determine the root cause and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.

• Facilitate regional growth through recruitment and business development initiatives.

• Establish and nurture strong client relationships while driving new business opportunities.

• Collaborate with business development teams on conferences and client outreach efforts.

• Review and interpret applicable building codes as required regarding the scope of work.

• Oversee the formulation of repair or replacement design scope, as necessary.

• Make independent project decisions, including the selection of analysis and testing methods and the allocation of resources pertinent to the project.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Over 10 years of experience in forensic mechanical engineering or relevant design experience.

• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed technical reports on inspection findings.

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
