Senior FM Manager – Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guidehouse is currently in search of financial management experts to support our Department of Defense client.

• These team members will possess a broad spectrum of experience in financial management, accounting, auditing, internal controls, and financial policy.

• Our Guidehouse team will offer: Expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), as well as DoD financial management policies and procedures and organizational structures.

• Financial audit statements and services aimed at audit readiness.

• Insight into current trends for improving compliance with accounting and auditing standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP).

• Familiarity with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems.

• Support for the DoW financial statement audit remediation and sustainability strategy, execution, oversight, reporting, and audit infrastructure.

• Specifically, support for Enterprise Audit Remediation/Sustainment Strategy, Oversight and Reporting, including Audit Remediation/Sustainment Strategy, Governance Meeting Support – Content Development, and Governance Communication – Content Development for Recurring FIAR Reporting.

• Audit Infrastructure support, which encompasses DoW Management Recommended Audit Plan, Consolidated Audit, Audit Liaison Audit Remediation, as well as DoW-wide Remediation Support, Audit Remediation and Sustainment Working Group Meeting Support, and Remediation Expertise Support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; approved adjudication of clearance is required before onboarding with Guidehouse.

• Preference will be given to candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.

• A minimum of TEN (10) years of experience in financial management, particularly in auditing financial statements of government agencies or preparing for audits.

• Proficiency in GAAP, GAGAS, ICOFR, and DoD financial management policies/structures, with experience in areas such as General Equipment, Inventory, Real Property, IGT (AP/AR), or OM&S.
