Senior Financial Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain OneStream applications, leveraging Extensible Dimensionality to address intricate consolidation, planning, and reporting requirements.

• Develop, optimize, and sustain VB.NET Business Rules for calculations, translations, consolidations, and workflows.

• Implement and enhance Marketplace solutions (such as Task Manager, People Planning, Account Reconciliations) to modernize the "Close" process.

• Improve consolidation times and query performance through effective system design and code evaluations.

• Act as the technical lead for the exit of financial data from NetSuite.

• Create robust methods for data extraction (Saved Searches, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteTalk) to guarantee clean data feeds into OneStream.

• Develop and manage automated data pipelines between NetSuite and OneStream utilizing OneStream Data Management/Stage.

• Investigate complex data issues by examining the code—whether it involves debugging a failed NetSuite SuiteScript or tracing a SQL transformation error in the data warehouse.

• Identify and rectify issues related to data consistency across various systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Financial Systems, complemented by a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with OneStream XF.

• Proficient in VB.NET for creating Business Rules and Member Formulas.

• Strong SQL skills with the ability to craft queries for analyzing large datasets, debugging transformations, and validating data integrity.

• Functional understanding of NetSuite data structures (GL, Subsidiaries, Classifications).

• Ability to read and debug SuiteScript (JavaScript) is highly advantageous.

• Solid grasp of financial consolidation, GAAP/IFRS, intercompany eliminations, and the financial close process.

• Technical lead for the exit of financial data from NetSuite.

• Comfortable managing "imperfect data," utilizing SQL or scripting to trace lineage and determine the root causes of discrepancies.
