This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in federal financial reporting, preparation of financial statements, and annual reporting tasks for a federal client.
• Create financial reporting schedules, supporting workpapers, and footnote documentation for the annual financial statements.
• Reconcile outputs from the Financial Statement Data Warehouse (FSDW) with CCC CORE, FMMI, trial balances, and manual financial statements.
• Conduct trial balance integrity checks and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting precision.
• Develop supporting schedules for the Balance Sheet, Statement of Net Cost (SNC), Statement of Changes in Net Position (SCNP), Statement of Budgetary Resources (SBR), Budgetary Activity Report (BAR), and footnotes for financial statements.
• Assist with GTAS and SF-133 reconciliations and confirm the accuracy of financial reporting submissions.
• Prepare variance analyses and address requests for financial data and reporting assistance from the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO).
• Support the creation of annual financial reports, management narratives, and necessary disclosures.
• Compile financial statement binder documentation, establish cross-references, and prepare audit support packages.
• Aid in the development and upkeep of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for knowledge transfer.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 6 years of experience in federal financial reporting, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, workpapers, and audit documentation.
• At least 3 years of experience applying OMB Circular A-136, FASAB standards, GTAS, Statement of Budgetary Resources (SBR), SF-133, and other federal financial reporting criteria.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing financial documentation and explaining variances.
