This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop thorough financial plans for affiliated advisors, addressing areas such as retirement, taxation, estate planning, education financing, insurance, cash flow, Social Security analysis, and more.
• Conduct in-depth tax analyses, including Roth conversion modeling, strategies for tax-efficient withdrawals, timing of income, and scenarios for charitable giving.
• Create estate planning strategies and collaborate with advisors on trust, gifting, and wealth transfer approaches.
• Examine client documents (tax returns, account statements, estate documents) to uncover planning opportunities.
• Act as a reliable planning specialist for a diverse array of independent advisors, each with their distinct brand and client engagement style.
• Equip advisors for client meetings by providing clear, presentation-ready materials and discussion points.
• Assist in defining and enhancing workflows, templates, and quality standards for our centralized planning operations.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior planners as the team expands.
• Must possess a CFP® certification (active and in good standing).
• 3–5 years of practical experience in creating comprehensive financial plans within a professional environment (RIA, broker-dealer, or planning firm).
• Strong proficiency in financial planning software related to comprehensive planning, tax planning, and estate planning (e.g., RightCapital, Holistiplan, Wealth.com, eMoney, or similar platforms).
• Capability to simplify complex planning concepts into clear, actionable deliverables that advisors can present confidently to clients.
• Ability to manage multiple advisor relationships simultaneously, each with varying styles and client bases.
• Preferred qualifications include Series 65 or 7 & 63 certifications.
• Experience in a multi-advisor or enterprise RIA setting (not solely supporting a single advisor).
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for impact investing and values-aligned financial planning.
• Proven history of enhancing processes—demonstrated ability to create templates, streamline workflows, or implement tools that improve the efficiency of a planning team.
• Interest in mentoring or leading others; management experience is not required, but a desire to pursue it is essential.
