This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop comprehensive financial plans for affiliated advisors, covering areas such as retirement, tax, estate, education funding, insurance, cash flow, Social Security analysis, and more.
• Conduct in-depth tax analyses, including Roth conversion modeling, tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, income timing, and charitable giving scenarios.
• Create estate planning scenarios and collaborate with advisors on trust, gifting, and wealth transfer strategies.
• Examine client documents (tax returns, account statements, estate documents) to uncover planning opportunities.
• Act as a trusted planning expert for a diverse range of independent advisors, each with their unique brand and client style.
• Prepare advisors for client meetings by providing clear, presentation-ready materials and talking points.
• Establish credibility as the go-to individual advisors prefer to delegate to, enhancing their practice.
• Assist in defining and refining the workflows, templates, and quality standards for our centralized planning function.
• Assess and optimize our financial planning technology stack as we continue to develop the platform.
• Contribute to the training and onboarding of advisors, helping new network advisors efficiently collaborate with our planning team.
• Mentor and train junior planners as our team expands.
• CFP® certification is required (must be active and in good standing).
• 3–5 years of practical experience in creating comprehensive financial plans within a professional environment (RIA, broker-dealer, or planning firm).
• Proficient knowledge of financial planning software for comprehensive planning, tax planning, and estate planning (e.g., RightCapital, Holistiplan, Wealth.com, eMoney, or similar tools).
• Ability to convert complex planning concepts into clear, actionable deliverables that advisors can confidently share with clients.
• Comfortable managing multiple advisor relationships simultaneously, each with distinct styles and client bases.
• Preferred Series 65 or 7 & 63 licenses.
• Experience in a multi-advisor or enterprise RIA setting (not just supporting a single advisor).
• Familiarity with and passion for impact investing and values-aligned financial planning.
• Proven track record of enhancing processes—creating templates, streamlining workflows, or implementing tools that improve team efficiency.
• Interest in mentoring or leading others; management experience is not mandatory but desired.
