Senior Financial Data Reconciliation Analyst

📋 Description

• Design and execute comprehensive reconciliations for both new and existing products and fund flows.

• Develop and sustain data transformations, enrichment logic, and matching criteria across both internal and external systems.

• Oversee and analyze reconciliation discrepancies, lead root-cause investigations, and coordinate sustainable solutions with Product, Engineering, Finance, and banking partners.

• Create monitoring, alerting, and reporting mechanisms for reconciliation risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

• Establish reconciliation requirements and technical specifications for new products and fund flows.

• Collaborate with Accounting on month-end closures and audit preparation by generating reconciliation analyses, summaries, and supporting documentation.

• Develop and execute the reconciliation control roadmap while leading cross-functional initiatives.

• Provide mentorship to other analysts through hands-on coaching.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in handling complex transactional and financial data within fintech or financial services, particularly in reconciliation, settlement, payment operations, and accounting.

• Proficient understanding of banking payment systems and card networks, including ACH, wire transfers, RTP, FedNow, Visa, and Mastercard.

• Knowledge of transaction flows, clearing processes, settlement, returns, and exception management.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL.

• Practical experience in developing and maintaining data transformation pipelines, such as dbt or similar tools.

• Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record in investigating and resolving complex financial data discrepancies.

• Familiarity with enterprise reconciliation or matching tools, like Blackline or comparable platforms.

• Experience in creating monitoring or BI dashboards using tools like Omni, Looker, or Tableau.

• Proven history of leading cross-functional initiatives and fostering alignment among technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in mentoring or developing fellow analysts.

• Background in supporting audits, regulatory reporting, or financial-control testing.
