Senior Financial Analyst, Modeling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold comprehensive financial models for revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and cash flow, incorporating clear assumptions and sensitivity analyses.

• Construct models for SaaS revenue drivers, including bookings, renewals, expansion, churn, and annual recurring revenue (ARR), collaborating with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance.

• Assist with annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.

• Assess scenarios related to growth, pricing strategies, customer demand, and infrastructure investments.

• Analyze actual outcomes in comparison to forecasts and plans regarding revenue, cost of revenue, and operating expenses.

• Identify key factors contributing to significant variances.

• Monitor SaaS metrics such as ARR, net revenue retention, gross margin, and customer economics.

• Create succinct analyses and presentations for executive leadership.

• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Product, and infrastructure leaders to confirm model assumptions and guide business decisions.

• Communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders and convert complex analyses into actionable recommendations.

• Enhance forecasting processes, data integrity, and consistency in financial reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a SaaS or infrastructure software environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with Workday or Adaptive Planning is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets are required.

• Proficiency in utilizing Google and Microsoft productivity tools.

• Strong financial modeling capabilities, including revenue projections, scenario analysis, and SaaS metrics.

• Experience in modeling cloud costs or gross margin is a plus.
