Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A, Entertainment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the monthly FP&A closing process, ensuring alignment of actuals with budget and forecasts.

• Conduct in-depth analysis of P&L performance, pinpointing variance drivers and trends through meticulous financial examination.

• Oversee compliance with revenue recognition and monitor processes in collaboration with the Accounting team.

• Execute and assess Work in Progress (WIP) reconciliations, guaranteeing accurate revenue and cost matching across various projects and timeframes.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning cycles, and capital/WIP projections.

• Provide ad hoc financial analyses and detailed investigations to facilitate strategic decision-making.

• Serve as a quality control layer between accounting outputs and FP&A insights.

• Review financial data to maintain integrity across systems, general ledgers, and reporting tools.

• Confirm cost allocations, which include salaries, project expenses, and operating costs.

• Aid and verify the month-end closing process, ensuring precision in accrued and deferred revenue.

• Develop and sustain financial models and Excel-based reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or a combination of Accounting and Finance roles.

• Strong practical knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 / IFRS 15).

• Proven experience in conducting WIP reconciliations, project accounting analysis, and aligning revenue with costs.

• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, variance analysis, and understanding of core financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

• High-level Excel capabilities, including financial modeling, complex reconciliations, and data analysis.

• Previous experience in a shared services or multi-entity environment is advantageous.
