• Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning, you will play a crucial role in advancing the hospital's financial planning, budgeting, and analysis initiatives.
• Conduct variance analysis to assess and compare actual financial results against budgeted expectations.
• Offer advice and assistance to departments regarding budget management and financial planning strategies.
• Lead intricate financial analyses, encompassing detailed variance examination and trend forecasting.
• Create regular financial dashboards for senior leadership, emphasizing key performance indicators and financial metrics.
• Act as a bridge between the finance department and other organizational units.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet project objectives within budget and time constraints.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior financial analysts.
• A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution is required; a master's degree in accounting, business administration, or healthcare is preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience as a financial analyst, ideally within a healthcare environment.
• A thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, including balance sheets and normalized P&L income statements.
• Capability to extract and analyze extensive datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Proficient in utilizing advanced Excel functions and tools for financial analysis, such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
