This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Oversee the month-end closing process, consolidating and analyzing monthly variances throughout the organization.
• Take responsibility for the management reporting package and monitor various key performance indicators.
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes (monthly forecasts, annual plans, and multi-year strategic outlook) by collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate key assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
• Enhance forecast accuracy continuously by identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Manage the preparation and presentation of management reports by offering specific, actionable, and forward-looking insights on changes and advising on potential risks and opportunities.
• Exhibit a thorough understanding of business drivers across the complete P&L (volume/sales, trade, COGS, marketing, SG&A) along with price/volume/mix analysis.
• Support sales finance initiatives as required, including analysis of promotion effectiveness, pricing, and trade investments in collaboration with Trade Planning and RGM teams.
• Construct financial models and scenario analyses to facilitate key decision-making, utilizing advanced data processing and automation tools (e.g., Power Query, Power Pivot).
• Foster collaboration with business teams for new product innovation, working cross-functionally to create P&Ls and evaluate the financial viability of projects.
• Promote an analytical mindset and discipline to deliver data-driven financial insights across cross-functional teams.
• 3-5+ years of experience in relevant fields (e.g., FP&A, Finance Decision Support, Corporate Finance, Data Analytics).
• Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry with a strong understanding of business, brand, and customer strategies.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements, validate accruals, and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on problem-solving and continuous process enhancements.
• A results-oriented approach with the capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft applications.
• Experience using ERP systems (e.g., S4, SAC) to support financial operations, including data analysis, reporting, and the preparation/posting of journal entries.
• Preferred familiarity with TPM systems (e.g., Blacksmith) is a plus.
