This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Facilitate the creation and consolidation of forecasts along with long-term financial strategies.
• Analyze discrepancies and offer clear, actionable suggestions to business leaders.
• Collaborate with department heads to assess assumptions and enhance financial predictability.
• Create dashboards, models, and reporting tools to aid in decision-making.
• Utilize advanced analytics, financial technologies, and emerging AI tools to improve forecasting, automate reporting, and enhance decision-making.
• Spot opportunities to incorporate automation, machine learning models, or data visualization tools to boost efficiency and provide deeper financial insights.
• Assist in balance sheet strategy, covering liquidity planning, cash management, and investment portfolios.
• Support interest rate risk modeling and perform financial scenario analyses.
• Deliver both recurring and ad hoc analyses to inform financial performance and capital allocation.
• Oversee the enterprise risk management (ERM) program and conduct semi-annual risk assessments.
• Work with business units to identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Improve risk reporting frameworks and ensure alignment with the organization's objectives.
• Assess and support business investments through ROI modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and continuous performance tracking, while providing product-level profitability insights for pricing, growth, and strategic decisions.
• Conduct general ledger analysis, reconciliation, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Maintain and revise financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
• Collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to deliver financial insights and recommendations.
• Clearly communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative, service-oriented workplace culture.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancement, reporting capabilities, and financial performance improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or treasury roles.
• Experience in credit unions, banking, or risk management is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet tight deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and a working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools.
• Experience with data analytics, financial technology platforms, or AI-driven tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, or similar) to support financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
