• Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Execute essential month-end closing tasks, which include journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, revenue invoicing, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and variance analyses.
• Ensure that project billings, expenses, and associated accruals are recorded promptly and accurately on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules while managing intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations across various entities.
• Assist with project accounting and capitalization tasks, encompassing construction and development expenses, fixed asset additions, and activities regarding placed-in-service.
• Generate financial reports, compliance documents, and audit support for tax equity investors, lenders, banks, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation tools, and AI agents to improve accounting efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Collaborate across departments with Treasury, FP&A, Asset Management, Development, and other teams to facilitate cash management, debt activities, reporting, and operational accounting requirements.
• Undertake ad hoc projects and provide financial information support to other departments as needed.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures established by esVolta LP.
• 4-7 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field is required.
• Practical experience with accounting software systems (experience with Sage Intacct is advantageous but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with multi-entity business structures.
• Preference for candidates with accounting experience in partnerships and consolidations.
• A solid technical and analytical accounting foundation, with knowledge or experience in complex accounting matters, consolidations, U.S. GAAP issues, foreign currency translation, diverse corporate structures, equity, and investment accounting.
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to meet deadlines for monthly and quarterly reporting, as well as special projects; capable of preparing thorough analyses and reconciliations with appropriate documentation and follow-up.
• Strong organizational skills with the capability to prioritize and manage a challenging workload that involves multiple tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines, ensuring professional follow-through with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated, results-driven, and process-oriented with strong communication abilities.
• A self-starter who exhibits flexibility, a desire to learn, and a willingness to ask questions while taking ownership of projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• A team player who collaborates effectively with other teams within the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with Sage Intacct ERP is a plus.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector is beneficial.
• CPA Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
