• Identify opportunities for enhancing processes and improving efficiency within Finance teams.
• Assess current finance capabilities and identify skill gaps.
• Contribute to the design of processes that boost productivity and accuracy while minimizing redundancy.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and integrate industry best practices.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to outline and prioritize transformation projects and initiatives.
• Monitor and report on the advancement of transformation projects and initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth reviews and assessments to inform decisions regarding the transformation portfolio.
• Map out capability development opportunities and highlight areas of interest (people, process, and technology).
• Engage in the evaluation of new technologies and tools to facilitate finance transformation.
• Lead the execution of financial technology, software, and automation solutions.
• Raise project concerns through the appropriate channels.
• Develop training materials and conduct training for finance teams on new technologies to ensure successful adoption.
• Provide assistance to adjacent teams during transformation initiatives.
• 4 years of experience in a mid-level financial planning and analysis or accounting role.
• 2 years of experience applying process improvement principles in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with ERP implementation.
• Experience with Workday Core Financials.
• Advanced knowledge of finance and accounting, including internal controls.
• Strong grasp of process improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing applications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to research and broaden understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and codes.
• Organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet changing deadlines.
• Ability to apply logical reasoning to resolve complex problems.
• Quick to learn the organization’s existing software and systems.
• Capable of visualizing and articulating future state options.
• Ability to research and support inquiries regarding State Medicaid funding requirements.
• Skilled in problem-solving, account analysis, and providing written documentation of findings.
• Timely communication of project status and issues to management.
• Effective collaboration with diverse individuals and groups.
• Ability to learn, focus, understand, and assess information to determine suitable actions.
• Willingness to accept direction and feedback, and manage stress effectively.
• Capability to see, read, and perform repetitive finger and wrist movements for at least 6 hours/day.
• Ability to hear and speak clearly for a duration of 3-6 hours/day.
