• Direct all Brazilian tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities, including IRPJ/CSLL, PIS/COFINS, and ISS/ICMS (as applicable).
• Ensure the precise and timely filing of ECF, ECD, DCTF, EFD-Contribuições, and other SPED obligations.
• Manage tax audits, inspections, and evaluations with authorities.
• Monitor and analyze changes in Brazilian tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
• Implement tax optimization strategies that align with compliance and business goals.
• Supervise tax provisioning and management of effective tax rates.
• Oversee the monthly closing process in accordance with BR GAAP/IFRS.
• Ensure the integrity of financial statements and internal reporting.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Assist with external audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., Central Bank, CVM, SUSEP according to entity type).
• Support regulatory filings and facilitate interactions with authorities.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams on regulatory issues.
• Provide assistance on cross-border transactions and structuring.
• Aid in international tax considerations, especially within LatAm.
• Coordinate with global teams regarding transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and tax reporting.
• Serve as a key partner to senior leadership regarding tax implications of new products (e.g., crypto, payments, digital services) and strategies for business expansion.
• Support decision-making processes with financial and tax insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Brazilian tax (mandatory).
• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance, financial reporting, and working within regulated environments.
• Experience in managing audits and engaging with tax authorities.
• Proficient in both Portuguese and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of ownership and accountability.
• Capability to navigate complex and evolving regulatory landscapes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
• Experience with international tax (LATAM preferred).
• Familiarity with fintech, payments, crypto industries, and cross-border structures.
