Senior Finance Specialist, Controllership – Cash Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in the Cash Accounting process, which includes daily balancing of credit balance refund checks activities.

• Manage month-end close processes and conduct month-end reconciliations.

• Aid in credit balance refund operations, projects, ad-hoc requests, and other assigned tasks.

• Execute daily balancing for credit balance refund checks across all designated accounts and keep track of aged items.

• Gather support documentation for daily and month-end reconciliations.

• Investigate, follow up, and resolve discrepancies related to credit balance refund checks transactions.

• Process and address items in the Positive Pay queue as necessary.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to fulfill cash payable-related tasks.

• Complete month-end close activities, which include the preparation of journal entries.

• Propose and implement process improvement initiatives for assigned accounts.

• Assist in Governance initiatives such as preparing, maintaining, updating, and testing job aids.

• Provide support for ad-hoc reporting and data requests from business partners and leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, coupled with 1-2 years of experience in Accounting & Reconciliation.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Accounting & Reconciliation without a degree.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with reconciliation systems, specifically Blackline.

• Proficient in software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.

• Capability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Proven commitment to quality and customer service.

• Experience with Treasury systems.

• Knowledge of Oracle.

• Previous experience in banking.
