Senior Finance Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary coordinator and ensure timely and precise billing for both regular and complex projects.

• Register, assess, initiate, and conclude projects; confirm details against contracts, purchase orders, and client specifications.

• Aid in managing budgets and incorporate executed change orders into the system.

• Notify Project Managers about budget excesses, write-downs, and unrecognized revenue; address budget-management challenges alongside Project Managers.

• Develop and sustain electronic project financial records while applying quality assurance measures for document storage and management.

• Maintain billing timelines for projects and commence billing for those eligible.

• Generate, circulate, finalize, and distribute invoices and invoice packages via mail, email, and client portals.

• Process WIP removals and address billing inquiries and discrepancies.

• Fulfill designated CMELMS responsibilities.

• Conduct collection efforts, engage with clients regarding overdue invoices, and document collection activities.

• Follow up on overdue invoices and collaborate with finance, collections, Project Managers, and supervisors to resolve outstanding accounts receivable issues.

• Create and authorize procurement requisitions, document receipts, verify project invoice details, and onboard new suppliers.

• Draft checks, reconcile office credit cards, and manage per diems and cash advances.

• Adhere to safety protocols, engage in pre-task planning, report safety issues, uphold quality standards, and perform other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or alternatively, a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills.

• Capable of leadership and mentoring.

• Excellent communication abilities for interacting with clients and senior management.

• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable record of violations may be necessary.
