Senior Finance Consultant, Microsoft D365 F&O

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the finance workstream, serving as the main liaison for client finance stakeholders;

• Establish trustworthy relationships through effective communication, strong executive presence, and proactive problem-solving;

• Conduct workshops, process design sessions, and training for end-users;

• Mentor junior team members and assist in the application of best practices for implementation.

• Configure and validate D365 F&O finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Project Accounting, Budgeting & Forecasting, Inventory & Manufacturing Costing);

• Design solutions that align with manufacturing finance processes (standard costing, variance analysis, catch weight);

• Convert business requirements into functional designs and work with technical teams to address gaps;

• Document processes, conduct fit/gap analysis, and make configuration decisions;

• Assist in testing activities (system, integration, UAT) and manage the resolution of issues;

• Advise clients on data migration efforts and aid in preparation for deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with D365 F&O, including at least 3 full-cycle implementations;

• Strong knowledge of core finance modules and manufacturing costing procedures;

• Demonstrated success in delivering finance implementations within the manufacturing industry;

• Solid business acumen with the capability to influence client decisions;

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, particularly with executive stakeholders;

• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a client-facing setting;

• Willingness to travel within North America (30–50%), with occasional international trips as needed.

• Additional advantages include:

• Knowledge of Catch Weight processing in D365 F&O;

• Familiarity with financial reporting tools (Management Reporter, SK Global, Power BI);

• Understanding of ERP implementation methodologies (Sure Step, Activate, Agile).
