Senior Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and financial planning for corporate departments and designated lab operations.

• Create monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting packages.

• Evaluate budget-to-actual results and provide insights on key variances, trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Develop and sustain financial models for headcount, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and scenario analysis.

• Collaborate with business leaders to oversee spending, assess performance, and facilitate decision-making.

• Create impactful reporting and dashboards to enhance visibility into financial and operational performance.

• Provide assistance with leadership and management reporting as required.

• Act as a finance partner for corporate functions and deliver analytical support to lab operations when necessary.

• Aid in the financial review of revenue, expenses, productivity, and additional performance metrics.

• Work collaboratively with operations, HR, accounting, and leadership to collect data and validate assumptions.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements in planning, reporting, and financial analysis.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reclassifications, and financial reviews.

• Support account reconciliations, expense analyses, and balance sheet assessments.

• Help maintain the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting.

• Uphold internal controls and standardized finance/accounting processes.

• Assist with audit requests, documentation, and other compliance-related financial tasks.

• Collaborate with accounting to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a comparable position.

• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.

• Proficient understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

• Experience in supporting month-end close and financial reporting procedures.

• Advanced Excel skills and high proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to convey financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

• Preferred qualifications include CPA, CMA, or MBA.

• Experience in healthcare, laboratory, multi-site, or decentralized operations.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, planning tools, or business intelligence/dashboard platforms.
