This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Manage the delivery engine throughout the finance reporting cycle. You will be responsible for the hands-on production tasks associated with month-end activities, including journals, consolidation, and initial draft management accounts, while also handling billing, invoicing, and payment approvals. Additionally, you will assist with revenue recognition and reporting for investors and banks.
• Take charge of essential financial operations. You will have complete responsibility for expense management and credit control, ensure the effective delivery of billing and invoicing, and supervise the daily transactional activities of the Bookkeeper.
• Drive AI and automation initiatives within Finance. You will create and implement automations across your areas of responsibility, develop finance processes powered by AI, and take ownership of the results of your implementations. Ably prioritizes AI advancements, making Finance a key focus, and you will personally build and manage AI-driven finance processes from start to finish.
• Collaborate with the business. You will provide support to designated cost centres and budget holders, assisting them in adhering to their budgets and maximizing the efficiency of their expenditures.
• Facilitate tax, compliance, and audit processes. You will compile schedules and the essential data necessary for UK and US tax compliance and serve as a primary contact during the annual audit.
• Experience in Big 4 auditing, along with a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the capability to recognize opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A keen focus on process improvement and efficiency - while substantial experience in AI automation is not required, an efficiency-oriented mindset and some relevant experience in this area are essential.
