Senior Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Execute tasks related to the installation and provision of both on-demand and scheduled service and training for all general-purpose equipment.

• Carry out daily responsibilities in compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.

• Demonstrate the ability to document daily service activities and expenses in a timely, accurate, and effective manner.

• Identify complex issues related to customers and/or machinery.

• Read and interpret intricate blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics as necessary.

• Provide technical support and training to Signode Technicians.

• Oversee and manage the accuracy and completion of scheduled service calls.

• Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.

• Adjust and test designated equipment to ensure proper operation.

• Under supervision, facilitate proactive pre-installation meetings with customers.

• Actively report and follow up on potential unsafe conditions.

• Maintain strong customer relationships.

• Communicate critical information promptly.

• Possess intermediate knowledge of PLC systems to troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers.

• Identify opportunities for upgrades and retrofits.

• Design and implement training programs for repair and/or preventative maintenance.

• Prepare detailed non-conformance reports and service bulletins.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• 4-5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in working with Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics systems.

• Capability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Background in PLC systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Preferred: Completion of a professional course (electrical, mechanical, or automation courses).
