Senior Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Execute responsibilities to install and deliver on-demand or scheduled service and training for all general-purpose equipment, including a diverse range of industrial and customer-specific application machines.

• Engage in daily travel via automobile, frequently requiring overnight stays.

• Typical daily driving time ranges from 1 to 6 hours.

• Carry out daily tasks in compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.

• Complete all safety-related training punctually and to the expected standards.

• Demonstrate the ability to document daily service activities and expenses in a timely, accurate, and effective manner.

• Identify complex issues related to customers and/or equipment.

• Read and interpret intricate blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

• Provide technical support and training to Signode Technicians.

• Monitor and oversee the accuracy and completion of scheduled service calls.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic functions.

• Make necessary adjustments and conduct tests to ensure proper operation.

• Organize proactive pre-installation meetings with clients.

• Actively report and follow up on potential unsafe conditions.

• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and explanations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• 4-5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in working with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.

• Background in PLC systems.

• Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Professional training in electrical, mechanical, or automation courses is preferred.
