Senior Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute commissioning installations, preventative maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, problem analysis, and product-specific services on the Siemens product line.

• Conduct advanced maintenance on tools, testing equipment, etc.

• Must be skilled in using various hand tools, torque wrenches, etc.

• Capability to ascend ladders and stairs as necessary.

• Ability to lift heavy items, bend, and reach as required.

• Complete documentation for all tasks performed – including commissioning, preventative maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, etc.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of hands-on technical experience related to electrical measurement equipment and/or an Associate's degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Proficient in using electrical measurement tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various specialized equipment for communication and network systems.

• Experienced in field service, troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks for Siemens Perfect Harmony VFDs and Sinamics products.

• Proven troubleshooting skills and excellent interpersonal communication abilities.

• The candidate should be able to interpret and understand electrical plans, specifications, drawings, and installation schematics.

• Up to 100% travel is required for this position.

• Demonstrates knowledge in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), process automation and controls, PLC programming, field excitation, synchronous, and induction motors.

• Offshore platform work is required – HUET training.
