This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
β’ Oversee and manage transformer service operations related to installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and end-of-life projects.
β’ Serve as the primary on-site technical representative for clients.
β’ Organize field resources, ensuring that tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with technical standards.
β’ Work collaboratively with engineering and project management teams to tackle complex field issues.
β’ Execute, supervise, or verify transformer testing and diagnostic procedures.
β’ Assist with vacuum processing, oil management, internal inspections, and component assembly as dictated by project requirements.
β’ Offer technical advice and troubleshooting assistance for intricate transformer problems.
β’ Applicants must possess work authorization allowing them to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.
β’ An associate degree or a two-year technical diploma with 5β10+ years of relevant transformer field service experience, or a High School Diploma / GED with 7β12+ years of relevant transformer field service experience is required.
β’ Proven experience in the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, repair, and decommissioning of transformers is essential.
β’ Practical experience in conducting or managing transformer testing and diagnostic operations is necessary.
β’ Familiarity with oil management, vacuum processing, and internal inspections of transformers is required.
β’ A valid driverβs license and the willingness to travel frequently to customer locations is a must.
β’ Strong technical problem-solving capabilities and the ability to operate effectively in project-driven field settings are essential.
