This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Carry out service operations following work instructions while adhering to ABB's quality and safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service and perform tasks according to customer requests and expectations.
• Foster customer loyalty by clearly communicating timelines and expectations for service work.
• Spot opportunities for operational enhancements and work to remove obstacles.
• Conduct field service activities, including diagnosing technical issues and performing on-site troubleshooting in certified areas.
• Implement installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.
• Assist in the certification process for Associate Field Service Technicians and Field Service Technicians.
• Mentor technicians and oversee complex site operations.
• Serve as a trainer for team members and customers when required.
• Compile material lists for service engagements and ensure all materials, parts, and equipment meet quality criteria and are readily available.
• Proactively recognize potential equipment failures and propose corrective measures.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by establishing and nurturing positive relationships.
• Detect possible new sales opportunities while addressing customer needs and relay this information internally.
• Identify areas for product and quality enhancements.
• Offer management recommendations for improving operations and customer service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain safe working and environmental practices.
• Report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with over 4 years of experience in servicing critical power equipment, or an Associate's Degree in electrical technology with over 6 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work and/or military experience (8+ years) in servicing critical power equipment.
• High-level proficiency in interacting and communicating (both written and verbal) with various levels within the organization.
• Strong collaborative skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Moderate capability in Project Management using MS Project or Excel.
• Proficient in drafting test plans and reports that detail test outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines for administrative responsibilities.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ownership until tasks are completed.
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
