This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate with customers on-site to discover opportunities for operational enhancements and address pain points.
• Conduct field service activities, which include diagnosing technical issues and performing on-site troubleshooting in certified areas.
• Carry out installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.
• Assist in the certification process for Associate Field Service Technicians and Field Service Technicians.
• Mentor technicians and oversee complex site operations.
• Serve as trainers when necessary for team members and customers.
• Compile material lists for service tasks and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment adhere to quality standards and are readily available.
• Anticipate potential equipment failures and suggest corrective measures.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by fostering and maintaining positive relationships.
• Recognize potential new sales opportunities while addressing customer needs and communicate these internally.
• Discover opportunities for product and quality enhancements.
• Provide management with recommendations for improving operations and customer service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe work and environmental practices.
• Report any unsafe practices and incidents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with over 4 years of experience in servicing critical power equipment OR an Associate's Degree in electrical technology with more than 6 years of experience in servicing critical power equipment OR a High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work and/or military experience (8+ years) in servicing critical power equipment.
• High-level proficiency in interacting and conveying (both written and verbal) information to various levels within the organization.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office products.
• Moderate capability in Project Management utilizing MS Project or Excel.
• Advanced skills in drafting test plans and reports that detail test results.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines for administrative tasks.
• Works with a sense of urgency and accountability until tasks are completed!
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
