This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade intricate diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
• Execute advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and system-level challenges.
• Act as a technical escalation point for critical customer concerns and complex service scenarios.
• Foster and sustain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and expert technical support.
• Ensure that all service activities adhere to Abbott's quality systems, regulatory standards, and laboratory safety protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in the role of a Field Service Engineer.
• Willingness to travel locally up to 95% and long-distance up to 25%.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Medical Technology.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation and automation support in a clinical or diagnostic setting.
