Senior Field Service Engineer, Medical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Independently service, support, and maintain a diverse array of medical diagnostic equipment in accordance with company protocols.

• Take responsibility for the analyzers assigned as the preferred engineer.

• Exhibit strong administrative skills to complete all necessary tasks within the specified timeframe.

• Comply with all policies and procedures of the service department.

• Represent the company positively with customers and actively participate in customer retention efforts.

• Demonstrate solid analytical and technical skills to evaluate and resolve complex analyzer issues.

• Willingness to participate in an active call roster/standby, work overtime, and travel both locally and internationally.

• Possess effective communication skills to address issues with both internal and external customers.

• Assess, recommend, and implement solutions for customer-related software and hardware requests.

• Organize personal day-to-day activities, ensuring fulfillment of business unit support agreement obligations.

• Identify potential service, training, and product sales opportunities, proposing an action plan to the relevant departments.

• Provide escalation support to Field Service Supervisors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Technology in Electronics, N6 Electronics, Instrumentation qualification, or a Bio-medical technologist diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.

• Proficient understanding of computer hardware and composition, with computer literacy.

• Familiarity with ISO and Quality Management Systems.

• Experience using test equipment such as DVM, oscilloscopes, pressure meters, and laser test equipment.

• Technically skilled with strong interpersonal abilities to foster teamwork essential for achieving reliability program goals; capable of working in a team setting.

• Must hold a valid passport and driver's license.

• Strong time management and personal organization skills are essential.
