This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Accountable for delivering technical guidance and support to clients regarding the operation and upkeep of company products.
• Act as the primary contact for customers on technical and service-related inquiries.
• Showcase the applications and benefits of products.
• Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, QA/QC, and research and development teams to address customer issues, determine corrective measures, and ensure proper follow-up.
• Install, check, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment within the timeframes set by service management.
• Conduct preventative maintenance according to established procedures.
• Maintain performance and maintenance logs for the equipment.
• Offer guidance and training to client personnel on establishing operational, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques.
• Evaluate equipment failures to identify causes and suggest corrective actions.
• Provide advice and support in implementing design alterations to enhance equipment efficiency and/or minimize operational costs.
• May engage in the installation planning phase.
• Foster customer goodwill through effective communication of all services provided and uphold a professional business appearance as defined by service management.
• Efficiently manage company assets, including the company vehicle, computer, trunk stock parts inventory, test equipment, and tools.
• All employees must ensure compliance with company documents, programs, and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.
• At least 1 year of experience in a comparable field-based repair role.
• Proficient computer skills are necessary.
• Must be knowledgeable about the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain credit approval for a Corporate Credit card.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Independent thinker.
• Detail-oriented.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, push, and perform similar physical tasks.
• Manual dexterity is required.
• Willingness to work up to and exceeding 8 hours per day.
• 40 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours when necessary.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Must comply with all requirements for access to customer sites, including active and current adherence to all credentialing prerequisites (which may include COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccinations).
