This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct inspections to ensure the mechanical integrity of process equipment in refineries, petrochemical facilities, and fabrication shops.
• Create detailed written inspection reports outlining the work completed and providing recommendations.
• Execute physical inspections that involve climbing, crawling, and walking on pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping systems.
• Evaluate equipment conditions during plant turnarounds and offer repair suggestions.
• Prepare reports using UOP’s computer-generated templates and present findings to clients.
• Travel extensively across the United States and internationally.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or an API-510 Pressure Vessel Inspector certification is the essential educational/qualification requirement.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to inspection, maintenance turnarounds, or shutdowns in refinery or chemical plant environments.
• At least 5 years of experience applying fundamental principles of corrosion, metallurgy, materials of construction, welding procedures, and refractory selection and application methods.
