Senior Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Guide and support the work team to achieve set objectives

• Conduct installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on electrical distribution systems

• Engage with internal and external clients through phone and email to arrange upcoming jobs and procure materials

• Execute safety assessments and complete necessary documentation before commencing work

• Arrive at the job site physically and mentally ready to work in diverse environments

• Capability to reach remote job locations

• Take charge of the hands-on implementation of projects

• Carry out administrative tasks, including drafting technical reports, ordering supplies, obtaining quotes, and preparing project status updates

• Collaborate directly with clients and the ABB sales/service team to uncover new service prospects

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology (OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 2 additional years of relevant engineering or field experience)

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in field engineering

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities

• Proficient at working independently with minimal supervision

• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% as necessary

• A valid passport and driver's license are required
