Senior Field Engineer – US Federal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Inspire and co-develop solutions in collaboration with US Intel Agencies

• Facilitate and guide discussions with clients

• Convey insights gained from clients to the IonQ Product Management and Engineering teams

• Manage competitive objection handling effectively

• Convert business requirements articulated by our clients into technical project work

• Develop resources to illustrate the features of our quantum applications and other IonQ quantum products

• Transition conversations from initial brainstorming to targeted exploration

• Conduct client discovery sessions focused on business-oriented use cases

• Collaborate with marketing, developer relations, and business development teams to enhance awareness of IonQ

• Participate in industry conferences as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role or similar position

• US Citizen possessing Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required, with a full-scope polygraph preferred

• At least 5 years of dedicated experience with technology firms that serve US Intel Agencies

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or another STEM field, such as Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering

• Eager learner with a keen interest in quantum computing

• Mission-driven individual committed to supporting US Federal Government Intel agencies
