This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Motivate potential clients by discussing IonQ’s strategy, product offerings, and addressing technical inquiries regarding our quantum security portfolio and its applications.
• Facilitate client discussions, inspiring them to envision the implementation of quantum security applications within their business sectors.
• Relay insights gathered from clients to the IonQ Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure that client feedback is integrated into our quantum security offerings.
• Manage competitive objection handling with confidence.
• Convert business requirements articulated by clients into technical proposals for quantum security solutions in collaboration with team members.
• Develop sales materials, such as presentations, to illustrate the features of our quantum security applications and other IonQ quantum products.
• Support the sales team in progressing prospects through the sales funnel.
• Aid in creating a pipeline of opportunities for IonQ’s quantum security solutions.
• Conduct client workshops to foster quantum security engagements and generate new use case ideas for quantum security.
• Collaborate with marketing, developer relations, and business development to expand IonQ's presence in the security sector.
• Participate in industry conferences as necessary to engage with clients and support our booth operations.
• Some travel is anticipated (20%), with additional opportunities for global travel for client meetings and IonQ conference events.
• This role is in technical sales, offering a suitable balance of compensation incentives for success alongside a base salary that prioritizes credibility and technical accuracy.
• Over 8 years of experience as a field engineer aiding customers in resolving complex technological challenges.
• Proficient in clear communication at various context-appropriate depths, effective persuasion, strong emotional intelligence, and other essential customer-facing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or any other STEM field, including Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering.
• A motivated learner with a deep passion for applied Quantum Security, Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), or Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
• Experience in cybersecurity, particularly in Network Security and Cloud Security.
