This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Execute system configuration for designated Emergency Call Handling solutions, encompassing hybrid cloud and SaaS applications.
• Conduct site verification testing prior to transitioning sites into production.
• Set up and troubleshoot connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted application environments.
• Assist customers and channel partners during the production deployment phase.
• Document modifications to solutions, including configurations of cloud tenants and API integrations.
• Ensure that installation and quality issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Engage in the development and approval of Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and system upgrades.
• Take part in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as necessary.
• Maintain expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
• Report directly to the ECH Field Engineer Manager.
• Take responsibility for on-site configuration, testing, cutover, and post-cut support for both on-premise and cloud-hosted ECH solutions.
• High School diploma, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Engineering or Technical setting.
• At least 3 years of experience with the deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications.
• Experience in troubleshooting cloud-based applications, including connectivity issues, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).
• Familiarity with server virtualization, database servers, server and workstation operating systems, Linux, network switches, firewalls, and routers.
• Knowledge of telephony systems related to analog lines and PRI, including troubleshooting and physical configuration/termination.
• Understanding of ACD call routing and provisioning processes.
• Familiarity with SIP interfaces and call flow ladders for troubleshooting and SBC provisioning.
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory concerning account segregation and role assignments.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time according to objectives and goals.
• Must possess or be eligible for a U.S. passport for international travel up to 75% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer work permit sponsorship is not available.
• Previous experience in the deployment and integration of Public Safety Applications, as well as operations and administration, is preferred.
• Relevant cloud certifications are an advantage.
• Ideally, candidates should be familiar with virtual machine deployments and hosted systems, such as ESXi/KVM RedHat.
• Ideally, candidates should also have familiarity with Cisco switch configurations.
