This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Acquire expertise in protocols, applications, and troubleshooting for all QSI products.
• Comprehend proteomic applications and how QSI products and solutions can fulfill market demands.
• Communicate technical specifications of QSI’s product range and applications effectively.
• Engage in and lead technical discussions during pre-sales meetings with clients.
• Organize seminars and deliver technical presentations to clients.
• Recognize customer requirements and/or challenges, and determine how to offer solutions using QSI’s instruments, reagents, kits, and applications.
• Develop experimental plans for customers during product assessments and manage their expectations regarding evaluation results.
• Oversee both onsite and remote onboarding of QSI products and software.
• Provide onsite training for QSI instruments, software, and reagent product workflows.
• Enhance instrument utilization within the existing customer base through collaboration with sales and detailed project planning.
• Handle Technical Support inquiries via CRM (SFDC) – including email, phone, and site visits.
• Assess when instrument repairs are necessary and initiate the repair process.
• Diagnose issues related to instruments, software, kits, or applications and escalate them through the relevant internal channels as needed.
• Participate in trade shows, promote customer advocacy, and contribute ideas for application notes and other technical materials.
• Advocate for product positioning and messaging in all client interactions.
• Champion customer-requested applications to Market Development and/or Product Management for further evaluation.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, biology, or a related field is required.
• A Master's or PhD is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has over 5 years of laboratory experience.
• Previous experience in a similar technical support role is required, or a combination of laboratory experience with a technical support aspect.
• Must possess experience in proteomics, protein biology, or mass spectrometry.
• Theoretical or technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Cell Biology, Biochemistry, NGS.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be proactive and take initiative.
